Technological platform

The B Cell Design platform is based on a patented transgenic mouse model (HAMIGA™, GAmmaPrim™ and InEpsTM in collaboration with the B Cell Design model) generated in an academic laboratory (UMR CNRS 7276 - Limoges University - CRIBL – “B cells immune response control and lymphoproliferation”, directed by Pr. Dr. Michel Cogné).


The insertion of a human cassette carrying the gene of the immunoglobulin heavy chain constant region in the endogenous locus leads to the expression of human chimeric antibodies directly by the mouse lymphocytes. . Therefore, these mice are producing antibodies with the following properties:

  • only one human isotype per mouse line
  • the heavy chain constant region is human
  • the variable regions are from the mouse
  • the mouse's complete immune repertoire is maintained

 

There are 3 mouse lines producing human IgA1, IgG1 and IgM/E respectively :

Mouse model descriptions

HAMIGA™ - IgA1

Specifications :

  • Isotype : IgA1
  • Applications fields : research, therapeutic, in vitro diagnosis (infectious diseases, autoimmunity)
  • Possible functions : neutralization (therapeutic), cytotoxicity (therapeutic), in vivo medical imaging, calibrator, quality control, positive control

Innovation :

  • 60% of B Cells are producing IgA1 (vs 1% in wild-type animals)
  • High specificity and high-titer in vitro
  • Human chimeric antibodies (carrying a human heavy chain constant region)
  • The mouse repertoire architecture is maintained: the ability to target all kinds of antigens is intact
  • High level of clone generation efficacy, ensuring higher probability of selecting the monoclonal antibody of interest.

GammaPrim™ - IgG1

  • Possible functions : Immunotherapy, R&D, drug candidates , companion diagnosis, Diagnostic calibrator, quality control, positive control

  • 99% of hybridomas produce IgG1 
  • High specificity and high-titer in vitro
  • Human chimeric antibodies (carrying a human heavy chain constant region)
  • The Mouse repertoire architecture is maintained: the ability to target all kinds of antigens is intact

  • Same range of affinity as natural human IgG1 (demonstrated by a competitiveness test)

InEps™ - IgM/E
